Fantasy Faire 2013 has made a lot of money for the American Cancer Society, but they’re not finished yet! There’s lots more good stuff to be bought and you’ll see a lot more fundraising events.
Lupoaica owner/designer, Meka Aeon, has put this braided hairstyle up as her donation item for Fantasy Faire 2013. This style is very typical of what any medieval maiden would wear; it’s a simple braid pulled back and secured with a bow. This braid is long, and reaches almost to the floor! When you purchase the hairstyle, don’t forget to pick up the HUD, which is free. It’s straight forward, and easy to use, just make sure to read the included note card first. Be patient, it takes a few seconds to fully load the first time. One hairstyle, and one HUD means you inventory stays a little lighter than if you had to store each individual colour. Less stuff in my inventory? I like that!

From the notecard advertising this awesome game:
Welcome to “DIVE” Sponsored and Produced by the Pulse, Nomine & Sn@tch City Sims, Spiritweaver Games and Hez Scripts along with all our vendors. Happy Halloween! Don’t skip this part. It’s important! Landmark below to the starting point!

DIVE was designed based on our love of Survival Horror Video Games and Classic Horror Films and is intended to scared the crap out of you. We hope you enjoy it, but there are some things that may help you enjoy it even more.
Set your Environment Settings to Midnight under the World Tab (This makes everything darker and scarier and the build was designed for Midnight Viewing)
Please Turn your Master Volume at least 3/4 of the way up as there are many sounds you will want to hear and turn your Music Volume Down or off.
We will provide a hud to wear during the game. This and the suitcase are not necessary but it does make things a lot neater and more like a movie or a game. The suitcase is just a prop and the hud is just for a neat look for the game, it doesn’t do anything and you will find it later in the game. You also do NOT need a physical key, this is just a location to pick up your instructions not an actual item you need to hold.
The Build is spread out over three sims and you will need to teleport often but it is worked into the game so treat it like you would a screen load, Just click the Teleport button when the map comes up to travel between the levels.
You will need to collect clues and solve simple puzzles to get to the next levels so search everywhere and click everything you can. Like a video game you will need to open doors and find paths to move forward. We tried to make the puzzles simple yet challenging. We found last year people did better helping each other in groups and that is definitely encouraged but please don’t cheat. It’s really not as much fun if you do and you will miss a LOT of prizes.
If you say out loud or shout out the answers to puzzles to large groups of people or TP in friends directly to prizes you could be banned, so play by the rules!
To Operate Keypads, solve a number, picture or color puzzle, enter the keys in the correct sequence then hit E for Enter. If you wish to start again, hit C for Clear. If there is a teleport exit, click the button that says TELEPORT on the map when it pops up.
Instead of doing a final prize room we have had our vendors spread their gifts throughout the build. There are treats hidden all over so check everywhere. You don’t want to miss those. We will be open for a whole month so feel free to come back if you think you missed something.
It is in your best interest and much cooler to read everything you find on the story and history of The Hyperion Hotel. You are a guest and an investigator and in order to move ahead you may need this information.
Pay attention!
WARNING:
We have done out best to use a minimum of textures to keep load times easy. There is GOING TO BE LAG. Please remove as much of your primmage and scripted stuff as possible to make things easier on others and yourself and turn down your draw distance to the minimum. Screaming out lag and being an ass during the game will make the experience less fun for everyone so DON’T do it.
This is NOT a hunt. This is a game with donated prizes. It is NOT meant to be run through quickly and could take WELL over an hour of your time. If you don’t understand these things, then this game is not for you.
This is a very mature game, if you cannot handle nudity, blood and gore, this game is not for you
You cannot advance in the game without solving puzzles, if you don’t want to solve puzzles and just want to get free stuff, this game is not for you.
Please tell your friends about us and share the landmark and we would love if you visit the stores of all the vendors who donated prizes or even send them thanks. They were so generous to give to this event and have our gratitude.
Now, turn the lights down and the volume up and prepare yourselves for a trip into hell…Pack wisely.
THIS IS WHERE YOU START!!!!

Opera Qunhua, of Black Maria fame, has put all Black Maria hairstyles for sale at 0L$. For those of you who love Black Maria styles, this is an opportunity to complete your Black Maria collection.
I’m always raving about the unique designs over at Grim Bros.. well, this sleek gown, Tulay redux, was packed into the Gifting Gorilla a while back; I love this figure hugging style! Put a big ol’ bow on the back, and this screams g-i-r-l loud and clear. Trust me.. he’ll notice.
You can still pick up this dress at Grim Bros, but it may not be in the Gifting Gorilla, the gifts that big guy hands out change daily; but look around the store, and you’re bound to find it for sale in several colour options.
Grim Bros currently has a little sale going on. Grab your magnifying glasses and head on over to the main shop to snap up some great deals on completely, totally, outlandish clothes, footwear, accessories, and skins.
If you’re looking for a little Sn@tch, then look no further than this great Bond-esque swimsuit (only 50L$ for a whole rainbow of colours) at the Second Style Island location until 16 July.
For the guys out there, Hawk models the latest in gangsta beachwear.
These camo underwear (wait till you see the backside!) are the July gift from VITAMEN. Find them upstairs in the main shop.
The gloves, hat and scarf Hawk is wearing are from men’s Tres Beau gift box (1L$). Bucket, glasses, and bikini are from Tres Beau “Make it Work” July (Womens and Mens) (0L$). There are also some board shorts included for guys in the “Make it Work” gift.
“Make it Work” items are for a contest. Pick up the box of goodies, put together your best photo, and enter the contest for fortune and fame! Don’t forget to have fun too!
The amazing hairstyle shown above and below is from The UNeek. Hairstyles at The UNeek are largely unisex.. it all depends on just how daring you are. As I’ve mentioned before, the hairstyles from The UNeek require a certain attitude.. they’re not for shy, retiring types.

The first time you open your eyes under water and really see is amazing! It’s like stepping into Oz for the first time: you’re entering another world, a place like nothing you’ve ever seen before.
One of my favourite summertime activities is snorkeling, I enjoy it even more than diving because I can float and snorkel all day long and explore underwater. Diving is bulky bulky, too much work, and the down time is too limited for me.

Friends took me scalloping in one of the many bays that dot my part of Florida.. once. But, I don’t eat other animals, and spent my time picking up scallops to watch their ka-zillion blue eyes withdraw as they snapped their shells tightly closed. I hid my scallop friends to make them more difficult for my human friends to find.
This didn’t go over well with my human friends.
Scallops are really cute, and every bit as cranky as depicted in cartoons, I can’t help but love the little suckers.

Most of the fish you meet while scuba diving or snorkeling are so friendly, they’ll come right up to people to say “hello”. I actually caught a dolphin fish (mahi mahi) in my hands once while snorkeling. It was a baby, maybe eight inches long, and I let it go immediately, but it was one of those “wow” moments.
Dolphin fish are some of the fish that grow in the shallow waters of the bays and estuarys surrounding the Gulf of Mexico. They grow to approximately 80 inches, and are a fishing industry staple in the southeast. We need our bays and estuarys to remain clean and healthy; these very special bodies of shallower water will be vital to the overall ecology of the Gulf when it is ready to be repopulated with fish, mammals, and birds.
The Gulf of Mexico is a big, very deep body of water, given enough time and care it will heal. But life in, and around, the Gulf will take longer.

Here’s where you can help: The National Wildlife Federation is helping to clean wildlife caught up in the oil spill and relocating them to clean parts of the Gulf. By purchasing products at Operation Squeegee in SL you provide the National Wildlife federation with the funds they need to complete their mission. Some of the designers and shops participating in Operation Squeegee are donating 100% of the money they make through vendor sales to the effort, so you donate to a good cause while getting some pretty nifty stuff.

How nifty? Well, the photos on this post show some of the cool things you can get, check my last Operation Squeegee post to see even more.

Plan today to visit Operation Squeegee. Link provided immediately below.

It was raining when she arrived at the station, and it has continued to rain every day since her arrival.
Her new assignment is an abandoned military outpost that had been re-colonised a few years earlier.
Her Mission (#SMT04-2357) is to take out the civilian base commander, retrieve the chip that grants access to the main computer module, and transport that chip safely to Cigma 20-325-LV.
At the time the military abandoned the ancient pods, command central hadn’t known about the lithium deposits hidden deep beneath the ocean floor.
But now that they know, they want possession of the pod platform to house mineral exploratory workers and, later, the lithium retrieval workers. An offer had been made to the current colonists to do the job, but the foolish people had turned down command central’s very generous offer, silly environmentalists that they are.
The operative had never seen the high commander so furious, first his face turning beat red, then bursting with hysterical laughter as he pointed at her and asked..
“Role playing again, Shang?”

The Kali full avatar is available from Sn@tch for 500L$, or you can fish for this very cool look. The 17 pieces (omg.. tentacles!) are packed into the fishing puddles just outside the main shop.
Have fun, and grab some lucky chair goodness while you’re fishing for Kali.
Wow, I spent most of my SL time yesterday, and some time today cruising the shops at the Alternative Fair. The good thing about getting in early is that we beat the lag monster to the Fair, the bad thing is that not all the booths are set up yet. But shit, what I’ve seen so far is good!
The booths at Alternative Fair are some of the best punk, goth, rock, grunge designers the grid has to offer. If Barbie wouldn’t like it, you’ll find it at the Alternative Fair! Shoot, there might even be a few things Barbie would like to slip into. So grab your preppiest friends and drag them to the fair with you.
Now on to the goodies!
Shown above and below are parts of the vendor items offered by Grim Bros. I’ve ogled this set in the shop, and came so close to purchasing it, but I’m glad I waited. The set, Emerald Lili (which includes the gorgeous shoes!), is only 100L$ at the Alternative Fair, and every single L$ goes to help combat Malaria.
By the way, the sweet skin I’m wearing above is a wearable demo from the Frick Decay line, and is available at the Fair.
Felicia, in red, is one of the vendor items from Blue Blood.
When a shop gives out as many freebies as Blue Blood does, I certainly don’t mind dropping a few L$ on them, and the fact that the 150L$ I spent on this cute little dress goes to charity just sweetens the deal.
Below I have several Fair goodies to show you.
Let’s start with those very cool unisex pants from The Uneek. As she usually does, Treebee Withnail has made them in several colours. One of the colours is a freebee at the Alternative Fair. To find out which pair it is, you’ll have to visit The Uneek’s Fair booth.
=P
The masked skin is from Mango Mango, and can be yours for a measly 1L$. It looks great with the Loose Tattoo from Miu. The shirt on the left is from Miu too (unisex) and both are free at the Miu booth.
The horns I’m wearing are awesome, and they were a gift from Pepper Spray. And would you look at the dragon fly! I never knew dragon flies were so yummy until I tried the ones from Iren. Get your dragon flies at the Fair, and chow down!
I’ve been a fan of Curious Kitties for a long time, one of the first skirts I ever purchased in world is from CK. I still have that skirt, and I still love it because good design is timeless. The hairstyle above right is from CK, and it’s yours for free at the Alternative Fair. The really nice thing about the Nanotech hairstyles form Curious Kitties is that with a single HUD you can change the colour of several different Nanotech hairstyles. I love this idea!
You gotta a love a little Sn@tch, and the swag bag from Sn@tch’s booth has the cool shirt and pants shown above.
All poses used in this post are from Diesel Works!

I haven’t been around much the past few days, I’ve been helping organise and hang a group art show. Hopefully, with most of the work done (opening reception is 01 May) I’ll have time to relax for a bit.
Some of these have been sitting in my inventory for a week or so, others I’ve had for considerably longer, and I thought I’d tell you about them because I love them so much.
Snatch has new goodies in the swag bag set out for the taking. Don’t be put off from grabbing it because it’s full of swag.. this is good swag!
The feathered tutu, puffy innocent sleeves, and sinful latex leggings are all part of the Angel outfit in the swag bag this time around. Don’t miss it!
I’ve paired Angel with a wonderful mohawk from Illusions, it’s my new favourite. Illusions is having a sale right now, and prices for items like the Primal Hawk mohawk I’m wearing are low, low low. Not everything is on sale, and sale items can be found out front near the landing point.

Check out those eyes! I’m channeling Marilyn Manson.
lol.. not really. But they are the Marilyn Manson eyes from Tokeyo Plastik. Not a freebie.. but not terrible pricey either.
Elf ears (or mermaid ears, or fairy ears) are from Body Politik. Colour changable through a menu script, there is even a colourless option so you can match them to almost any skin colour. Body Politik has been wonderful in sending updated versions to customers: Buy once, updated forever. So cool.
The flawless skin shown above is from Dutch touch. These are some of the prettiest skins on the grid, I was so happy that I was able to pick up a couple of the OnYx skins for free. Look for the garbage bags and buy them for 0L$.. there’s a wonderful OnYx skin inside! I can’t believe they just tossed those skins out with the trash.
