Now that Fantasy Faire 2012 has wrapped up, there is a new RFL event taking place right now. The Beacon of Hope Hunt features a whole slew of shops and designers, and each has donated a hunt item that you can pick up for a mere 1L$. The catch, of course, is that you have to find the item.. it is a hunt after all! All proceeds go to benefit relay for Life, so put on your huntin’ boots and get hunting.

Some of the awesome goodies that you’ll find in this hunt are shown below. There are 121 shops in all, so this is only a smidgen of the goods you find. If my math is correct.. 121 shops at 1L$ each = 121L$ you’ll spend on this hunt, which is not too bad for the inventory busting haul you’ll take away with you.

The BOH Hunt starts at Mystic Bay Breedables. You can start there, and do the entire hunt in order, or you can go to the Beacon of Hope Website and cherry pick which shops you want to hit. Link immediately below.

Anyway.. on to the good stuff..

Shown above is Little Me – Pink Sparkle, from ND/MD Skins and Shapes. This is a full avatar that includes: Littles body shape and skin, hairstyle, bikini, tail, and ears.
Please note:  ND/MD Littles Mesh Avatars do not have the same body mesh as Petites. You will not be able to wear your Petites clothing texture layers on this body.

Below is the gift from Vanilla C. Designs, the Karma Set.

This gothic inspired set includes two necklace designs (the other is a single strand version), and two bracelets.

Shown above are Denim Dress – Purple Rain and neck scarf – Red Leopard, from Shiki Designs. Shiki Designs has two gifts: one for women, and one for men for a single Linden dollar. The neck scarf is part of the women’s gift, there is a full outfit for men.

I hope you’re enjoying Fantasy Faire 2012, crowds started gathering even before the official opening time of noon today.. a good sign that this will be the most successful Second Life RFL event to date! Kudos to the sim builders, sponsors, shop owners, designers, planning team, performers, and bloggers who have all worked hard to make this event the best ever!

Now, on to the good stuff!

Ezura Xue has put up a shop at Fantasy Faire 2012, and just look at the items owner and designer ezura Xue has offered this year.

I’ve shown the Arcane Mage outfit, above, without additional adornment so that you can see just how pretty this silk-like garment is. The coordinating prim collar is included. This is a Donation Item, so your purchase price goes to relay for Life to help in the battle against cancer.

The Black Dragoness pack includes the dragon helmet, bracers, top, and bottom. This set could also be worn by men.. the helmet and bracers are very cool and totally unisex in my opinion.

Add your own accessories to make your own fashion statement. I’ve added leg chains from Sn@tch, and Niberath boots from Wasabi Pills in the picture above.

The Lace Top Dress, shown above and below, includes five skirt options and a black shrug. You have numerous options available for customising this outfit to make your own, personal style. This is also a Donation Item, giving you extra special value for your Linden dollar.

The unusual shoes shown are Exotic Ballerina Shoes, from ezura Xue, a detail is shown below. You can put your best foot forward in the most stylish way possible in these shoes you’ll find at the ezura Xue Fantasy Faire 2012 shop.. wear them with everything!

Fantasy Faire is in Full swing, and there is so much to see, so much to do.. and oh mai goshen… so much good stuff to buy!
If you love high fantasy at all, this is the one RFL event you must attend!

Margaret Heliosense, owner and designer of the products from Swing’s Paradise Furnishings, has put several items up for auction at Fantasy Faire. To find out more about the live auctions, consult the Fantasy Faire 2012 Blog.

The cute sale carts shown above and below are auction items. Bid once, but make it a high bid, because other people will be bidding for these too, and you don’t want to have it snatched out form under you at the last moment! There are two in the package, and I can see them hooked up ala gypsy caravan filled with tempting goodies for unwary passers-by. Too cute!

Good basic lines, modern shapes, colour you can live in.

MiaMai has all these qualities in her clothing line. These are clothes that can be accessorized up, or down, to your liking.

A participating merchant in the 2012 Fashion for Life event, MiaMai has put out several Donation items that you are going to love!

LilliRFL – Fine Day, shown above, and LilliRFL – Love, shown below are Donation Items at Fashion for Life. This means that your purchase price goes to Relay for Life? The American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research. Great cause, great clothes. you get a double bang for your buck! What a deal!

Loue, shown below in a stunning shade of emerald green, is a Donation Item. St Patrick’s day will find you dancing the hight away in only the best Irish pubs while wearing this dress that flows with every little move. Tell them that you donated every last penny to charity, and they’ll be making toasts to your good fortune.. even if you’re not Irish.

For another version of Loue, see the last picture.

Rene Harvey, owner and designer for ::Duh!:: truly puts out some of the most reasonably priced footwear on the grid. If you want great looking shoes, but don’t have a lot of L$ to spend, ::Duh!:: should be your first stop for shoes and boots. Her Donation Items (shown in the first two photos) for fashion for Life are no exception. If you’d like to donate, but don’t have a lot of money to spend, stop by the ::Duh!:: vendor booth and pick up some great boots and handbags for a pittance, and remember that in the fight against cancer every single penny counts.

Please note that FFL uses a central teleport point for each sim, where I’ve given an FFL location, just follow the red arrow to the merchant’s shop.

Photographed on location at LEA22 (Linden Endowment for the Arts) installation by Cherry Manga.
These great grey skins are from [Katsuicide]. The Sandra cendre line come in a light, medium, and dark great with a variety of colourful make ups. Shown in these pictures is the light grey Pourpre skin. Love it!If you like skins that are a little out of the ordinary, I definitely recommend a look-see.

Wow! What a way to make a statement!

Are you going to an art event and want to announce your presence in a way that will have everyone stop and stare! Maybe you’re attending a charity event and meed to make a speech that you want people to listen to? Or maybe you’re looking ahead to January 31 2012, and want a drop-dead gorgeous gown for the party at the end of the year that was supposed to be the end of all of us.

You’ve just found your gown.. two of them (four if you grab all colour variations- two for each gown) actually. Because no girl should have to wear the same gown twice.

Because it’s mesh, these gowns from !! Moonstruck !! move with you; but it also has some prim parts that take on a life of their own, moving and flowing around you as you dance.

Shown above is Bubbles Black Outfit. It comes with two pairs of gloves. The circles at the waist and bodice are prim parts, and are really like jewelery accents to the gown. You can wear the corset as a system clothing layer, or as a mesh layer depending on your viewer.  Bubbles Black Outfit is a Donation item, which means that the L$ you spend on this gorgeous gown go to help fund cancer research through the Relay for Life/American Cancer Society.

The pink outfit below is Squary Outfit, there is also a black version for sale. I love the open leg look of this outfit; it’s very sexy without being overly revealing.

But wait, there’s more!

!! Fanavatar !! has put together some stylish hairstyles with headpieces that match the dresses, so you can be coordinated all the way to the top of your pretty little head. These hairstyles are sold seperately. Detail for Bubbles Hair is shown above, Squary Hair is shown below.

If you love these outfits (And why wouldn’t you?) you should know that they are exclusive to the Fashion for Life event, and will not be available for sale afterwards. Get them now, because you won’t have a second chance once fashion for Life has ended!

Mer-Elf Creations has been providing the citizens of Second Life quality medieval themed, fantasy, and mermaid clothing and gear for longer than almost any other designer on the grid. Creator Morgaine Price has created a niche for herself in this genre , and Mer-Elf Creations line of products just keeps growing and getting better!

For Fantasy Faire, Morgaine has pulled together this great Kingyo goldfish tail. There is another part to this tail available at Fantasy Faire as well. See the photos below.

The add-on package for Kingyo (purchased separately) is perfect for those times your mer is feeling a little under the weather. This tail has pieces that look like Ick. If you’ve ever had aquarium fish, you probably know what Ick looks like. The add-on is perfect for role playing situations, I can see a quest being built around finding the ingredients to make a cure for the Ick.

All of the gowns shown in this post, including the lovely Maelynn, shown below, are available at Mer-Elf Creations’ Fantasy Faire location. To see more designs, plan to visit the Mer-Elf Creations main shop at Vanity Fayre.

Shhhh.. Morgaine was a little late putting her Fantasy Faire booth together. She claims “real life” got in the way. Hah! We know she was really out frolicking with elves and mermaids, gathering great ideas for future products.

Anyway, she’s going to be locked away in the fantasy Faire lock-up on Friday, and she’ll have to stay there until we pull together enough L$ to bail her out. Oh no! You know what that means! No more great fantasy designs until she is out of jail.

Here’s how you can help: Pull together all your friends, and your friends’ friends and gather up as many L$ as you can so that we can bribe her evil prison guard to set her free!

Shown above is May Queen in lavender. This gown comes in an appropriately spring-like collection of colours, buy one, buy them all! The pretty flower wreath is included with the gown, and it’s colour change!

Below is She-urt, in green.  This dress comes with a free-woman version included in the pack. Not sure what a free-woman or a she-urt is? Read the Gor books by John  Norman to find out.

The she-urt version includes scripted scrolls so that you can add your own message. The free-woman gown includes a modesty veil, something no self-respecting free-woman would ever be seen in public without.. lest she become a she-urt.

I wrote a little about Lost in Starnight just before Fantasy Faire began, and the good news is that you can still find some great bargains at their Faire location.. and some really unique mer avatars as well!

Shown above is that free tail I blogged earlier, but look how great it looks on Hawk too! I love that mer tails are unisex, add a top and it’s for a girl, take the top off and it’s for a guy. Of course, guys love the topless look on girls too.

The totally awesome mer avatar shown above has drawn lots of comments, as you can well imagine. As I explained to one person, “The shark was hot on my tail, and I dodged right when I should have dodged left.. and that was all she wrote.”

The Ghost Mer avatar comes complete with two skeletal buddies, all for a ridiculously low price. Need a costume for a party? Or maybe for Halloween? This is a real conversation piece!

The beautiful tail shown above is a prize in the Fantasy Faire Hunt. Look for turquoise ribbons, and buy it for the price shown on inspection. The Navy Tail is an underwater dream.. for only 25 L$. If you need a starter tail, this one is an excellent choice at a very low price. Hint:  You’ll find it in the Lost in Starnight Fantasy Fair Shop.

I posted a little about Mermaid Treasure and Boutique in my in one of my mermaid posts preceding Fantasy Faire, but now that the Faire is actually here, I know you’re dying to see some of the products Theta Marseille has at her Faire location.

Shown above is one of the many hunt items you’ll find hidden around Fantasy Faire, these reduced price items are top quality, as you would expect from the designers here.. and very reasonably priced. Hint: Look for a turquoise ribbon somewhere in MTB shop, and buy it for just 30L$. The ribbons will be priced anywhere from 10L$ to 100L$

The lovely set shown above is Mermaids and Mini’s – Inspiration, from MTB.This set gives you a tail to explore the oceans and rivers of Second Life, and you also get a cute mini to wrap up in when you climb out of the water. Awesome!

This set is an RFL vendor set, which means that your purchase price is donated to Relay for Life to help fund cancer research, something that is important to us all.

Photographed on location at Sea of Mer.

If you want a mermaid or mermaid that’s a little different (or maybe a lot different), hit up Tekeli-li at Fantasy Faire for some tails in exclusive colours that will only be available during Fantasy Faire.

These are not just tails, but full avatars. Everything you see, except the shape, is included. Although I’ve used my own shape in this photo, a shape is included in the package too, but I wanted to show you that even your own shape will work nicely with the prim parts that make up this avatar.

The avatar series, Deep Ones, by Tekeli-li, is based on real fish. Above and below I’ve shown the female Sailfish in Violet, a colour exclusive to Fantasy Faire.

There are other colours available for both the Sailfish, shown above, in Tekeli-li’s main shop.

The Koi avatar is a fanciful, playful avatar in pretty aqua and cream that you can get only at Fantasy Faire. Again, there are more colour version available in the main shop, and I do recommend stopping by to see all the Deep Ones.
