You had to know that a shop like Grim Bros would be kicking off Halloween early with some great products, a freebie, and a Halloween area to explore. Take a friend with you to the Halloween area.. trust me on this. There’s a not-so-scary and a scary area, you’ll need to hold someone’s hand in the scary area.
And while you’re exploring Grim Bros, don’t forget to teleport down to the shop, a landmark is included at the bottom of this post for your teleporting convenience. Grim Bros always has goodies you can pick up for free, and the shoes are to die for. The shoes at Grim Bros are some of the most creative shoes on the grid, many following a concept or theme.. and many of them have moving parts!

You have to love alternative clothing. It takes real aplomb to wear these outfits, and a certain.. attitude. The clothes at Miu aren’t for everyone, but if you’re the kind of person who loves.. no craves.. to stand out in the crowd, these are definitely for you!
The Raving Punk, shown above, is a complete thought for the girl who hates cliches. The asymmetrical look of the pants adds a little extra touch of panache. The flexy strings attached to the arms, and wrists, and skirt enrich the outfit and truly make it one-of-a-kind. With several ways to wear this ensemble, it is great value for your Linden dollar, and can be mixed with other outfits for even more versatility.
The the pictures above and below, Shang is wearing Metal Tulle. Metal Tulle is an outfit that truly combines the elements of femininity and metal. I love this outfit! The embellished many details of this outfit leaves little to the imagination, making it, as hawk put so eloquently “yummy”. The tulle skirt completes the outfit with a touch of panache. Metal Tulle includes a ton of options, so you can dress it up or down to suit your own unique style. At only 285L$, an outfit with this many options is a real bargain!
Hawk is wearing the *ZX* “69″ shirt (Free!), and *ZX* Writing blue jeans. These are very well done pieces. The shirt is unisex, and looks great on both males and females. The pants include prim accessories and legs, so you can wear them with, or without, boots.

I’ve been so pleased with my new location for Lofty Aspirations. It was a lot of looking and asking questions before I finally decided upon the Edgewater sim. There was one other very close runner up, Second Norway, which is a wonderful collection of scenic sims. I definitely recommend a visit to Second Norway.. you won’t be disappointed.
What ultimately influenced my decision to stake out a claim on Edgewater was the ability to rebuild Lofty Aspirations from the ground up. Helping me create my dream, which will always be a project in progress, are botanicals from Pocket Gardens, BuddhaBeats, and Perfect Prehabs.

With the sale of the parcel Lofty Aspirations looming over us, Hawk and I found ourselves looking for a new place to chill. I’ve found an awesome gallery space at For Art’Sake, home to some of the finest real life artists in Second Life, but a gallery space doesn’t give me an area to do the things that bloggers need to do.. like change clothes frequently and rez products like skyboxes and vehicles that I’d like to blog.
So.. with gallery space secured, we were off on a hunt for the perfect home to set up a photocube. We found the perfect location on Edgewater island. it’s green, it’s quiet, and it gives us an ample number of prims to work with.
I purchased an interior parcel, compete with a waterfall because I’m not quite as the income level to afford a coastal piece of property. But we have water access, and I have a place for mer-Shang to chill so that her tail doesn’t dry out. The huge expanse of water out there will give us lots of opportunities to launch the C-172, and we can keep the canoe at the ready near the foot of the waterfall.
Of course, the first thing a person does when s/he gets a new home is to invite friends over, so Laerke Lenvenque paid us a visit.
My Fresian likes Laerke it seems, and stood still long enough to get scratched around the ears and shoulders. I can’t wait to let Teeny out to explore the new dig, she’s gonna love it!

[KA] Designs has this cute robe as it’s prize i the Mix&Mingle Hunt. This hunt is going on through the end of the month, so there’s plenty of time to hop in and grab some great prizes.
The wrapped towel is from Poetik Velvet Bath House, and was designed by Jojorunoo Runo. The grungy sofa is a dollarbie from Toyle and Trubbles Fabulous Phantasmagoria, and is available at the Armada Breakaway landing point.
The watercolour painting, “The Storm”, is my real life original work, and you can buy a copy in world for 250 L$. Decorate your SL home with original artwork!

The skybox I use as a gallery has been going through a lot of changes lately as I decide on a new look. The old look was ok, but I’m ready for a change.
Above is one recent look, this was before I had a more classic feel with a subtly marbled texture on the walls. You can see my earliest attempts at furniture building too in this picture too.
I love all the glow I have up there now, and I love how my paintings look against the darker walls! Maybe I’ll put a glowy tree in the middle too.. just for fun.
One of my ideas was to use one of my real life paintings as the texture on the outside walls, but it was a little too busy.
For now, I’ve settled on black for the bottom of the skybox.. but look for this to change too.
