I’ve got more craziness for you today from the Crazy (I still want to stick an arse in here) Hair Hunt. Though I’ve titled this “The Wild Ones”, all hairstyles n this hunt are wild.. I just needed a catchy title.
Mumm, from ~{frou-frou}~, shown above, reminds me of sunshine, it’s so pretty. A style like this can go almost any direction you want it to go, so pick it up and have some fun!
Orchid Hair, from *OC* is so pretty, and I love the lacy butterflies on top. The fringe of bangs lets you look out coquettishly from beneath them.. which is an added plus!
You can wear Effervescent Chrysalis with almost any gown, it’s just that versatile. This is a hairstyle with all out feminine glam appeal, don’t you just love that wisp of hair that wraps around your neck to fall gracefully over one shoulder?
Look, I’ve got flower sperm on my head!
I love this style from By Snow, and I just had to show it on a black background so that you can see the particle pollen. I’ve recoloured this a bit (I love mod items!) for a little extra Shang-appeal.
Cutea Benelli, of Grim Bros fame, gives us two styles to pick up in the Crazy Hair Hunt.
Shown above is Miss Flora Fauna, with googly eyes and all.
Miss Fernia, shown below, comes with a ‘stache and eyes. You have to love the one flower covering one eye.
Rant
Don’t read past here lest ya see yourself.
I don’t normally join hunt groups, and for good reason. I’ve heard so much pissin’ n moanin’ from a few group members about how hard it is to find some of the hunt items in shops, to the point where one person called it “a rip off”.
The stylists who made these hairstyles for you worked hard on them. The shop owners and designers in this hunt have taken hours out of their real lives to create a hairstyle especially for this hunt.. a hairstyle that you are getting for free, and which may well be retired after the hunt. Let me repeat: You are getting these hairstyles for free.
No one should ever complain about a free gift.. ever, and certainly no one should ever complain about a free gift in a group chat (one in which the hunt designers might be listening no less), or about the difficulty of the hunt. This is a damned easy hunt compared to some of them, and if you don’t like a hunt, or if you have too much trouble finding a certain shop’s gift.. then skip it. The hunt is a round-robin hunt meaning that you can start and stop at any point along the way. Note cards are included in the group, and in each shop to make it easy for you to go to the next shop if one shop is too difficult for you. If you don’t like one hunt gift or another, delete it, forget it, and get on with your life.
End of rant.
Now quitcherbitchin and get out there and hunt!

Great boots!
And as usual, not only do they have all the bells and whistles.. but the parts move and puff little puffs of steam.
Please note that the Grim Bros Gifting Gorilla changes frequently and you have to hit it just right. if you don’t win these great shoes, never fear, you’ll win something fantastic.
Grim Bros has tons of new holiday treats for sale, wander around the shop and be amazed!

You had to know that a shop like Grim Bros would be kicking off Halloween early with some great products, a freebie, and a Halloween area to explore. Take a friend with you to the Halloween area.. trust me on this. There’s a not-so-scary and a scary area, you’ll need to hold someone’s hand in the scary area.
And while you’re exploring Grim Bros, don’t forget to teleport down to the shop, a landmark is included at the bottom of this post for your teleporting convenience. Grim Bros always has goodies you can pick up for free, and the shoes are to die for. The shoes at Grim Bros are some of the most creative shoes on the grid, many following a concept or theme.. and many of them have moving parts!
Besides awesome prices on beautifully textured gothic and macabre clothing, you’ll find freebie deals like the Gifting Gorilla, mini-manias, a matching game, and random freebies around the shop. With Halloween approaching, look for little pumpkins containing prizes too.
All of the clothing shown in this post is from Grim Bros, and all of these were free! Hairstyles and hats (with the exception of grimpengrumpkin) are from [M&K], located at Lofty Aspirations.

It’s a dark time for all living things.
All things, plant and animal, have adapted to the toxic environment.
Those that don’t adapt, die.
The Dark Future Hunt runs from 15 May through 15 June 2011.
The term ‘Dark future’ refers to apocalypse scenarios, but this theme is open to interpretation, and wow, did designers and shop owners run wild with the theme. This is a difficult hunt, the designers and shop owners have been verry creative in hiding the hunt object (shown immediately below).; sooo.. Take your time and look everywhere.
You’ll be glad you did when you’re rewarded with some of the cool prizes that include everything from skins, to clothes, full avatars, furniture, and landscaping pieces to be found in this hunt. These have been totally fun to accessorize and photograph.
Hurry and adapt.. or die trying.
There are many, many more wonderful gifts to be found than what I’ve shown here, 61 shops in all. To see which shops are participating, take a look at the hunt blog. A link is included below for your convenience.

Note: I started writing this post the day the hunt started, but have had a family problem that I have had to deal with. I apologise for the late post.. and for the brevity of the post.
I forget how I found out about a Petrovsky flux. I might have found out through Cutea Benelli’s profile, or an SL art notice.. it doesn’t really matter. The important thing is that I found out about this totally awesome sim which is currently housing an installation by Cutea Benelli and blotto Epsilon.
This installation is like Dr. Suess meets Mad Max, it’s a dystopian child’s playground with tubes, falling objects (grab a noggin protector, shown below, upon landing), and weird living.. thingies. The colours are dulled, with lots of rusty and industrial textures. If you love steam.. you’re gonna love it here!
I had to wear clothes from Grim Bros to this installation of course, anything else would have been.. less appropriate.
Shown above is a free Christmas dress and hat (top picture) from the Grim Bros main shop. I’m not going to tell you exactly where it is, because you should take the time to look around the shop a bit.. there is some cool stuff in there; but, I will give you this hint: Think Christmas.
In past posts I’ve gone an and on about the Gifting Gorilla at Grim Bros that is all the way in the back of the shop. The dress above was a recent Gifting Gorilla win. The prizes change daily, so stop by and try your luck, you might win a gown like the lovely Zele Blue gown, shown above, or the Gemma Jester dress, shown in the last picture.
Hawk showed up in appropriate steampunkish garb. I convinced him to wear a noggin protector. Take a look below to see just why that noggin protector is so vitally important.
Yes, there are falling chairs. And falling tree roots, and falling building parts, and sheep with little helicoptor thingies flying around.. it’s a dangerous place, so don’t forget to gear up appropriately upon landing.
Now go explore a Petrovsky flux.

In a way it’s a good thing there aren’t more shops participating in the P.A.M. Hunt.. this hunt is tough!
There are a few items I haven’t shown in the hunt because:
1. One shop is in an adult rated region. Sorry, I’m not providing LL with my personal data because they’re afraid I might see nude boobies.
2. I couldn’t find the items in a couple of shops.. not even using wireframe. Like I said, these designers are deviously clever.
3. The item in one shop was not marked for sale.
Shown above:
Hair from ndn (profile picks gift, which changes daily)
Mutant Mask and Mutant Shoulder from Grim Bros.
PAM Jacket top (there is also a bottom to the jacket, which is shown below) from Aftershok
PAM Pants from Aftershok

Khrome Gas Mask from ndn (Midnight Mania score)
Wastelander’s Dress from Beauty Killer
Boots from Aftershok

I always recommend that hunters look around the shop before teleporting out. Don’t just zip in, grab the hunt prize, and zip out.. you miss so much! Tomorrow I’ll show some of the amazing lucky chair prizes and MM board wins from the P.A.M. Hunt participants.
Photographed on location in Bentham Forest.
Grim Bros never fails to please if you love the strange, unusual clothes, avatars, skins, and gadgets to be found in Second Life. The shoes and hats at Grim Bros are to die for.. really.
To lure you into her little shop of oddities, Cutea Benelli, designer and proprietress of Grim Bros has a Midnight Mania Gorilla. Once there, the trap is sprung, of course, and you can hardly escape without parting with some of your hard-won L$. But it’s for a good cause, because when we spend L$ in their shops, our favourite designers are motivated to design more stuff for us to buy. See? A win-win all the way around!
Anyway, shown above is the most recent Gorilla Mania prize, the Madame Poupee gown, in red. As always, it’s a beautiful treasure from Grim Bros.. and not to be missed. A word of warning, The Gorilla prizes change with alarming frequency; so if you delay, you will miss out.
Worn with this luscious gown is a skin from Kleineschwein. These lovely skins are wonderfully simple, and bring to mind the courts of Louis XVI with pale makeups, lush red lips, and moles that are perfectly placed. Try a demo pack (free) to check them for yourself. Note, if you like the tan skins that everybody seems to be wearing lately, these unusual skins may not be for you.
The hairstyle is from [M&K] Hidden Treasures, and it’s one we’ve brought back out for Halloween. At 100L$, it’s a bargain, and one that will disappear on All Soul’s Day.
The half-mask, Chicanery, from Favole, is a donation item at Horrorfest, with 100% of the sale price going to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
Pixel Dolls also has a gift for you, all of you. It’s a wonderful autumn colour version of the new Diane dress, and looks so appropriate for this time of year. Pick it up in the main lobby of Pixel Dolls, then take the time to look around the shop — there are some great deals here, and Pixel Dolls products are always crafted with quality in mind!

If you’re looking for something fun to do in the weeks leading up to Halloween, Octoberville is just the thing. I first discovered Octoberville as a noob, and it’s still as much fun now as it was then.
There is always some kind of a mystery hunt going on here during the Octoberville festivities, and it’s a difficult hunt, to be honest — I’ve never completed it. You’ll have to inspect every inch of Octoberville to gather up all the clues needed to solve the mystery.
Besides the mystery, there is a haunted house (it’s huge!), bobbing for apples, a train, exploding gas stations, and more ghosts, witches, and goblins than you can shake a finger at.
Of course, if you’re going to visit Octoberville, it helps to be in the mood for some screaming Halloween fun, and these dresses from GField and Grim Bros are just the things to out you in that Halloween mood.
GField has the very cute Erika Classic Dress and Bolero in black and orange as a free gift. There are also some webbed stockings in a full range of Halloween colours (Free!), and some cute Halloweeny cowgirl boots at a drastically reduced price. You can see more at the GField blog.
The Halloween 2010 dress from Grim bros, came out a few weeks ago, and was available from the Grim Bros SL Marketplace shop. If you hate sifting through all the offerings at the Marketplace, you’ll be glad to know that you can now pick it up in the Grim Bros in-world main shop. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the sale items and awesome Halloween products Grim Bros has waiting for you, and don’t forget to slap that gorilla! You’ll be happy you did.

I’d blog the great hunt finds in this post even if they weren’t hunt finds, stuff from SMOTD and Grim Bros is the stuff I like to wear for my normal daytime look.
When I was younger I played with Barbies. I admit it. I played with Barbies. But Barbies are weird, there’s nothing you can really do with them except change their clothes. So that’s what I did with barbies. I changed their clothes. Constantly.
And, dirty little secret here, that’s what I do with Shang in SL. I change her clothes. Constantly.
You have to love everything Grim Bros. I pop in there so often just to look, and I was delighted to see the No Strings Attached Hunt sign on a recent visit.
Whee!
The girly, gothy, dollie dress is a veritable dessert of lace, gathers, and ribbons. If you like Grim bros clothes at all, you’ll love it. So go get it. Now.
The glittery lonely stage shown in this post is the No Strings Attached Hunt gift from SMOTD. This Hunt prize from SMOTD has two dancer poses, and what girl doesn’t love pretending to be a ballerina on stage? The No Strings Attached hunt runs through the end of August, so you have lots of time to check the hunt website.
The skin shown (Kiria – Bliss – Purple) is from F’d Up, which is also participating in the No Strings Attached Hunt. The skin shown is not the hunt skin, but a Midnight Mania win.
Damn that sounds like a bad pr@n flick.
Opera Qunhua, of Black Maria fame, has put all Black Maria hairstyles for sale at 0L$. For those of you who love Black Maria styles, this is an opportunity to complete your Black Maria collection.
I’m always raving about the unique designs over at Grim Bros.. well, this sleek gown, Tulay redux, was packed into the Gifting Gorilla a while back; I love this figure hugging style! Put a big ol’ bow on the back, and this screams g-i-r-l loud and clear. Trust me.. he’ll notice.
You can still pick up this dress at Grim Bros, but it may not be in the Gifting Gorilla, the gifts that big guy hands out change daily; but look around the store, and you’re bound to find it for sale in several colour options.
Grim Bros currently has a little sale going on. Grab your magnifying glasses and head on over to the main shop to snap up some great deals on completely, totally, outlandish clothes, footwear, accessories, and skins.
If you’re looking for a little Sn@tch, then look no further than this great Bond-esque swimsuit (only 50L$ for a whole rainbow of colours) at the Second Style Island location until 16 July.
For the guys out there, Hawk models the latest in gangsta beachwear.
These camo underwear (wait till you see the backside!) are the July gift from VITAMEN. Find them upstairs in the main shop.
The gloves, hat and scarf Hawk is wearing are from men’s Tres Beau gift box (1L$). Bucket, glasses, and bikini are from Tres Beau “Make it Work” July (Womens and Mens) (0L$). There are also some board shorts included for guys in the “Make it Work” gift.
“Make it Work” items are for a contest. Pick up the box of goodies, put together your best photo, and enter the contest for fortune and fame! Don’t forget to have fun too!
The amazing hairstyle shown above and below is from The UNeek. Hairstyles at The UNeek are largely unisex.. it all depends on just how daring you are. As I’ve mentioned before, the hairstyles from The UNeek require a certain attitude.. they’re not for shy, retiring types.
