I recently found a message in my spam folder relating to a site called ScoopIt! It seems the owner(s) of this site scour the internet for like-themed blogs, and include the material they find on their own ScoopIt! site.
Now, like many bloggers, I work hard to scout for material to write about, take pictures, then write text for my posts. I do not submit my blog to feeds that often run ads they get paid to run (And with blogger’s un-paid work no less!) I did not allow ScoopIt! to use my material, nor did anyone at ScoopIt! even ask to use my material.
On hold while I finish a few projects for real life exhibits.
After much thinking and planning by their friends, it was decided that the Petites must have a place of their own in our world.
A portal was created above the lake linking our worlds together. Five islands made the journey from the Petites’ world to ours before the magic that powers the portal ran out. It was meant to be recharged with the magic crystals gathering from the caverns of the Crystal Mine. Unfortunately the airship that came to pick up the supply of crystals and transport them to the portal was hit by a stray wind current that flipped it upside down spilling the magic crystals all over the Petites Kingdom.
We need you to come and help us gather up the missing magic crystals so we can refuel the portal and bring the rest of the petite islands into our world. The Petites, always a very hospitable race of creatures believe highly that work and play should go hand in hand so wish to make the task of gathering the lost crystals an enjoyable one.
You are cordially invited to come and discover the new Petite Kingdom on Saturday, September 29. Come and help us retrieve the missing crystals and stay to help us celebrate the Petites new home with music, dancing and possible surprises! The hunt will start at noon SLT with celebrations starting at 3pm SLT and going until 9pm SLT. Big or small all are welcome!

Ameshin Yossarian, of Curious Kitties, has been designing top quality products for what seems like forever. When I first started Second Life, her Cyber Goth avatar was the one I chose as my starting avatar because it was just too cool. When I made enough Linden dollars to finally purchase my first set of clothes, it was a skirt and a shirt from Curious Kitties. I still have them, you can see the picture at the bottom of this post for a blast from my past. When Linden Labs ate my entire folder of shirts early in my Second Life.. every last shirt gone.. Ms. Yossarian was one of the designers who kindly replaced the shirt purchased from her shop.. Thank you!
Curious Kitties is branching out into full mesh avatars. There is a free sample, Kittenz Luth Avatar, in the Curious Kitties shop – you can find it near the Group Gifts Board. If you want to purchase it for 0L$ at the Curious Kitties SL Marketplace shop, you can find it here too. Links for both shops are located at the bottom of this post. The brown hairstyle is included with the avatar, the black style (shown above) can be purchased separately for 0L$ here.
Kittenz Complete Luth Outfit is also available for 0L$ here, because you might not want to walk around nakie.
I recommend visiting the main shop in world, because Curious Kitties always has super fun give-aways and games to win exclusive CK merchandise. This new avatar is approximately 1/2 the size of a normal avatar. Along with the free full avatar, you can pick up an extra hairstyle, and an extra pair of pants to get your Curious Kitties Unreal Fuzz collection started!

“That’s my Booshie Lil Pet.”
“His name is BooBoo, and he’s quite a little show-off.”

Felitera and Ibstomp Lil’PetZ are not part of the actual Booshies game and are collectible little animated pets you can wear.

Photographed on location at Booshtopia.
Poses by Diesel Works.
Sylvie Hairstyle from Wasabi Pills.
Lucine Skin from Tuty’s.
Mystic Sky gown from Deviance.
If you haven’t heard about Booshies yet, you’re missing out on the next wave of cute breedable critters.
Take a trip to Booshtoia and walk around, you’re sure to see Booshies ambling peaceably amongst the strange vegetation there, this place is adorable!
Booshie creatures come in many shapes and sizes.. and, well, just take a peek at the web site. There is a lot more involved than can be explained in a a short blog post. They’re more than breedables, Booshies is like an MMORPG. I’ve included the link to the web site below for your convenience.
These wonderful plants (shown below) grow in Booshtopia where they are food for creatures called the Booshies. This nectubloom is the current group gift in Booshtopia. If you’re Booshies curious, i recommend checking out the Booshies web site and joining the in-world group to learn more.

We know you’ve been sitting on pins and needles all year waiting for this one.
It’s weird, wild, and wonderful.
It’s the Third Annual Crazy Hair Hunt!
This year, Treebee, the madwoman behind the Crazy Hair Hunt, challenged us to create a hairstyle under the theme “Flora and Fauna”. Alternative hairstylists from across Second Life stepped up to the plate to offer their designs, and wow! Did they come up with some good ones! Many of these are one-of-a-kind designs that will never again be available outside of the hunt. So have fun, take your time, and get wild and crazy for one of the weirdest hunts on the grid.
Shown above is Spider Plant, from Rosey Mood. Paired with a skin from Grim Bros, how can you not love this look?
You can take your pet sheep everywhere with you when you’re wearing Corvis Szpiegel (try saying that three times fast!) from [hate this]. I love the moss hair!
When looking to wear one of these more unconventional styles, look beyond the “norm” and pair it with a colourful skin, and prim ears to make a look that’s all your own.
Purple Mystica headdress from [M&K], shown above, can be worn as an almost there style (It’s perfect for a fae!), or wear it as a hat with your favourite hairstyle. Don’t you just love options?
Love Care Bears?
Love flippy hair?
Then this style is for you! Care bear on a swing also comes in a hat only version so that you can take your Care Bear with you where ever you go.
On noos.. the squirrels are packing their store of food in my hair! This cute style is from .:EMO-tions:., and you can get it for free in the Crazy Hair Hunt!
Please note: I’m not giving direct landmarks to the specific styles blogged. The Crazy Hair Hunt can be joined at any spot in the hunt (it’s a round-robin hunt), so just pick a shop and get started.. it’s that easy!
