You knew it had to happen, right?

No one stays in Second Life for long without starting their own blog, and..well.. I like to follow the crowd (pun!) so I decided to do what every other person in Second Life seems to be doing and start my own blog.

You might ask, “You already blog for a very successful blog, why start your own?”

Although the FabFree group  is great to work with, there are a few reasons I wanted to start my own blog:

  • Complete artistic freedom to post fashion shots the way I want them to be seen.
  • The freedom to blog fashions that cost me a few L$ as well as free items.
  • The ability to post the occasional article about happenings in Second Life, and tell you about sims that I like the best.
  • To have a forum to help newcomers to second Life.

Although hunting down freebies and boasting about my finds in a fashion blog is fun, it shouldn’t be what my Second Life revolves around. I’ve learned a lot in my first year on the grid, and I’d like to pass on some of what I know to others in a pay-it-forward of sorts. I could not have learned so much so fast without the help of people who didn’t even know they were helping me: people who give free stuff to noobs, landowners who will rent land free of charge to noobs, bloggers who spill all their secrets in terms of content creation, and especially the people who have purchased my real life art in world and my earliest efforts at creating my own content.

I’ll be pointing you toward places where you can get great freebies, other helpful blogs will be annotated in the section of the sidebar  to the left, and I’ll be giving you a heads up on artsy events coming up at a sim near you. Go ahead, bookmark me now, I’ll wait while you do that.

Ok, now that you have me bookmarked, go to the section titled Free Stuff for your Second Life, there you’ll find all sorts of stuff available for absolutely free. Don’t forgot to drop something in the tip jars, or let the shop owners know how much you appreciate the great stuff they’ve set out for you.
