You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into an underwater cavern at the B@re Rose Art Gallery. The theme for this exhibit is Underwater, and I’ve pulled a couple of vintage pieces from my inventory as well as a few in world photos just for this very special exhibit. This is the first time I’ve shown my SL photography in a public gallery in Second Life.

The exhibit runs through the end of February, don’t miss this extraordinary exhibit!

There is rumoured to be a garden at the end of the world, a beautiful garden filled with the most unearthly delights.

My good friend, Laerke Levenque, has told me about World’s End Garden many many times, saying, “Really, Shang, it is your style.”

You were right, Laerke, this shop is totally my style. The clothes here are girly, way over the top, dreamy, ethereal ensembles that will make you feel like a princess when you put them on. And what girl doesn’t like feeling like a princess?

All of the clothes and head pieces shown in this post are free gifts, courtesy of shop World’s End Garden owner, Lucia Genesis. But don’t stop at the free gifts, which are a designer’s way of showing potential customers the quality of their workmanship, browse the shop and just.. take in the air of beauty and tranquility you’ll find here.

Photographed on location at Lofty Aspirations in Junjong.
Poses are from Diesel Works.

You might have noticed that my list of links has been severely reduced, this is for two reasons:

  1. Several blogs that I had linked to have not been updated in several months.
  2.  Some of the blogs I had linked to do not reciprocate links to blogs that have linked to theirs.

If I have removed your link, and you would like me to link to your blog, just drop me a note in world, or comment to this post with a link to your blog.

In honor of the Black Hearts Hunt that will begin on 31 January and lasts until the end of February, Lemania Indigo has some Black pretties for you, and has thrown in a selection of B’s to anti up the pot. To see all the great designs, and some bargains not shown here, you’ll just have to visit Lemania Indigo Designs.

Bolero is a fabulous design featuring a brightly coloured bolero style jacket. This outfit comes with options to wear it as a skirt, or as wide-leg pants. Find it in the Black Hearts Hunt, coming soon to a sim near you.

Black Russian, shown above and below, is a prize in the Black Hearts Hunt. Hunt for items priced from 1L$ to 20L$, more info about this hunt will be coming soon, as well as pictures of and some freaky and lovely things.

Don’t you just love teasers?

Ballerina Rose, shown below, can be yours for the low price of just 1L$ if you belong to Divine Divas. If you’re not a Divine Diva yet, join the group and get this stunning ensemble by Summer Loon.

Poses and background used in this post are from Diesel Works. The Polywall comes packed with an amazing  26 poses, and 16 backgrounds. You can adust the position and rotation of your avatar inside the Polywall along all axis. There are subtle backgrounds like the blue shown above, and white shown here, as well as some pretty wild ones. If you loved the old one, you’re going to love this updated version, so hop on over to Diesel Works to try the demo.

After a bit of a hiatus (and don’t we all need one from time-to-time), Treebee Withnail, of the Uneek, is back in world. The shop has a new location a (sort of) new look, and a whole lot of old favourites and new products for you to faun over.

These aren’t just hairstyles, or skins, or clothing, the products at The Uneek allow you to become a virtual work of art. You can be as loud, colourful, and just as visually obnoxious as you want. But it’s not just about being colourful, if you have a fantasy avatar (mermaid, fae, etc) The Uneek skins and hairstyles might be just the bit of “oomph” you need.

The Uneek is now located in Junjong, next to Bizarre Hair and the new location of Lofty Aspirations. With so much cool stuff going on in one sim, be prepared for notices of great happenings. With the three of us knocking our heads together, you expect some fun collaborations.

Stop by the new location, Treebee has been getting rid of some old products, making some new ones, and the shop is always something cool to see.

FA Creations is a “new to me” shop that I discovered on the For Whatever Hunt. For quite a while now I have not been covering complete hunts in my blog. Covering full hunts is time intensive, and I simply don’t have the time in RL to dedicate to covering most hunts in their entirety. Taking quality pictures is also time intensive, and my promise to the shop owners whose products I blog is that I will never ever sacrifice quality photos for quantity in the number of posts and products. Pinkie promise!

I do visit hunt blogs and websites to pick out the shops I’d like to visit; and I apologise for this in advance, but if I have an exceptionally difficult time finding the item in your shop, I skip it. It’s not good sportsmanship on my part I know, but as I’ve said: I do have to spend my time in SL carefully due to current RL constraints. I do enjoy a fun challenge, but if I have to spend 30 minutes in a shop searching for a single item, I simply must move on to the next shop. If I find a few shops in a row that are difficult to the point of frustration, I’ll probably skip the hunt entirely.

Well, rant out of the way, and on to great products from FA Creations and Seduce…

If you like club wear, FA Creations just might be the shop for you. Paired with fashions from sister shop Seduce (named appropriately), these shops offer some of the sexiest club wear I’ve seen in a long time.

The For Whatever Hunt item at FA Creations was certainly challenging to find, but not to the point of tearing your hair out looking for it. This 1950′s bad girl outfit includes the jacket, blouse, skirt, eyeglasses, and the cute boots shown above. If you’d like to do the entire hunt, the link for the hunt blog is included at the bottom of this post.

When doing hunts I always recommend walking around the shop to check out the shop owner’s products, it also gives you an opportunity to look for other great deals and free product samples. I’m so glad I took my own good advice while at FA Creations.

There is a full walkway of free group Gifts outside the shop – gifts for both men and women. But don’t stop there, take the time to walk along the pathway to the end; this sim is stunningly beautiful! It’s obvious that the owner of FA Creations has an eye for detail and loves beautiful things. All of the photos in this post were taken on site at the Moonbeams sim, where FA Creations is located.

Hairstyles shown in this post are from Wasabi Pills, Jet Dolls, and Bizarre Hair.

Note: Stop by the Marketplace shop for another free gift from FA Creations!

As a symbolic gesture to raise awareness about the potential impact of two pieces of pending U.S. anti-piracy legislation – SOPA (The Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (The Protect IP Act), I have chosen to blog nothing at all for the rest of this week. I urge all fellow bloggers and content creators to do the same in protest of these silly, but potentially dangerous, new pieces of legislation.

Blog no new content.
Put out no new products.
Blacken your Flickr pictures.

As a real life artist, I can tell you that theft of internet material is a serious problem, but censorship is something that I find abhorrent. If you’re an American, write to your Congressperson in protest of these bills. If your not an American, write to a US Congressperson and make fun of us.

I’ve raved about the gorgeous mer tails and animations to be found at Club Mermaid in a previous post. If you’re still unconvinced, or missed the previous post, shown below are the newest Group Gift and Lucky Board prizes.

Storm Goddess, shown above is lovely, and includes the interesting clawed hands. I love this detail! A modesty layer is also included, but not shown here. it took me a lot of trips to the club to win this great mer-tail, if you’re not quite so patient, you can also purchase it at Club Mermaid’s Marketplace shop, link is included below for your convenience.

The hairstyle shown in the top photo is from Bizarre Hair.

Mystica Matova has taken on a new project: Up-dos! Although the styles are as quirky as her more usual long styles, those of you who prefer more conventional hairstyles will find plenty to love in these new up-dos. CoCoon, shown below and in the top picture comes with the tiara shown, and the hair itself is fully colour change via script. A hair base layer is included, and the hairstyle can be worn with or without the attractive lock of hair that falls to the side of your face for a softer look.

Nomine, well known for well-made unusual skins has a new line out for mermaids. The skins come in several colour options, and have a feature I love: The tail is painted directly on the skins! That’s right, no more awkward prim pieces, just a long, sleek look from your waist to the tip of your tail.

Each colour comes with two versions, a sparkle version, and what I guess you could call a ‘normal’ version. The sparkle version has the shimmers and highlights you would expect to see with merfolk, while the ‘normal’ skins are perfect not only for mer, but for their land-based fantasy cousins: faeries and elves.

The skins packages are a great deal for your Linden Dollar, for the price you’ll pay at most shops for a skin alone, you get four versions of the skin (sparkle and normal in both tail and no-tail versions), the tail parts (fins), eyes, and some mer animations to get you started.

in the photo above you can see the normal version of the melusine skin, while the sparkle version is shown below.

Hairstyle in the two top photos are from Tekeli-li, in the two bottom photos is shown Eve, from Wasabi pills.
Poses are from Club Mermaid and Diesel Works.

Kookie is retiring two older styles, and is giving subscribe members the opportunity to pick up these two styles at a very low price: Free! Muggy, an Ugg style boot, and Snugs, a penny loafer, are in the subscriber for you. Just join the new subscribe (members of the old subscribe need to rejoin too), and touch it again to pull up history and get fat packs of both styles; as a bonus you’ll be kept up-to-date on new releases and sales at Kookie.
