I get a lot of notices for events in Second Life Artists group. It’s a great group, and some of the events are too incredible to miss.

I didn’t have any pressing engagements in SL or RL when Tyrehl Byk announced a showing of Event Horizon (described as particle phantasmagoria). I went, not knowing what quite to expect, and picked up the note card explaining the settings in my client preferences that would optimise the impact of the show.
The displays were set to music, and it was a perfect melding of sound and sight. In art, this is truly the next frontier, and people like Tyrehl Byk are blazing the way in this new medium for artists of the future.

Event Horizon moves us through the blatant sexuality of pop culture, past social unrest and revolution, to the creation of a new universe.. all in a seamless dance of sight and sound images

There are some events in Second Life that invite you to sit back and enjoy as the event unfolds in front of you, and this was such an event. If you haven’t seen the show yet, I suggest you make plans to see it before it is gone.

Still photos simply can’t show you the full impact and beauty of this show, which was a moving, dancing display of light, colour, and line against a black background.
Check Tyrehl Byk’s profile for times, and teleport to the show location for a SL experience you’ll not soon forget.
